How It Works?
Net-Metering Program
Under the Net-Metering Program offered by Energy Transition Division under the Department of Energy, Residential Consumer who has solar PV installed on the rooftop of their property will consume the energy produced first, and any excess will be exported to the DES grid. The credits received for excess energy will be used to offset part of the electricity bill on a “one-to-one” basis for the duration of the Net-Metering Program, which is a period of twenty years (20 years).
